Overlooking the sea from its tranquil setting with nearby forest, lakes and waterfalls, the beach is just a 10 minute drive away or 5 minutes to the mountain town of Mijas.

The villa is set in a peaceful residential area that is not over developed. It has a country feel and the water supply is from the clean springs in the nearby mountains. It is quiet but not far away from the local shops and amenities. The villa is 5 minutes drive from the town of Mijas, or 'white' village due to its whitewashed houses, that was founded in the 16th century and is arguably the prettiest mountain village in Andalucia. Mijas is famous for its artisans who, for example, make beautiful ceramics, traditional architecture and its bull ring, one of the oldest in Spain and most curious because it is not round but a parallelogram. Yaramar beach is just 5km away and Castillo beach is 7Km. Close by are numerous beach resorts, large and small.

For those who wish to explore the area by coach or car, the historic mountain town of Ronda is well worth the drive. The twisting and climbing road leads to a famous bridge that spans a gorge and features a single cell (try escaping from that!) and to the town's pretty streets and squares. Also well worth a visit are cosmopolitan Marbella and Puerto Banus, with its street cafes and restaurants set around its famous marina. Slightly further away are Sevilla and Cordoba. Golf courses abound in the area, with Alhaurin 4km away and Mijas Cala Golf, 10km. Tennis is 3km and the Hippodrome is 15km.

For families with children and those who like larger attractions such as water parks, the nearby resort of Fuengirola has much to offer, including the claim to have over 4,000 bars.

The Villa: The location of this villa allows its 5 sun beds, barbecue, pool and garden to be enjoyed to the full. The gardens and the pool are maintained daily by the caretaker who lives in the adjoining guest house. His willingness to help and local knowledge is greatly appreciated by tenants. The multi-level and spacious living area (70 m2) is open plan and the stair case, which opens onto a galleried landing, contributes to the feeling of space and ventilation.

The living room is adorned with large houseplants and features a fireplace and large patio doors that open onto the terrace. The TV is equipped with satellite channels that include programmes in the following languages; Arabian, English, French, German, Polish and Spanish.

The dining area is set in a galleried area. An archway leads to the fitted kitchen that has ample work-top space and a serving area. Equipment includes a gas oven and ceramic hob.

There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with the master bedroom having an en-suite facility. The bedrooms are normally arranged as follows, although the configuration can be changed to suit.
