Las Granadas comprises two houses on a 10,000 m² (2.5 acre) site about 3 km west of Mijas village. The guest house is some 100 metres from the main house, so both are secluded and private.  Both villas are situated on the south facing slopes of the Mijas mountain, on the road to Coín and Alhaurín el Grande.

The picturesque town of Mijas is nearby and provides various shops, bars, cafés, many restaurants and banks. There is also a bullring and donkey rides. Mijas has been voted the most picturesque village in Southern Spain. There are various beaches within 12 km of the villas, and the International Tennis Club of Lew Hoad is a 10 minute drive away. There are too many golf courses to mention, but the nearby Alhaurín Country Club boasts a challenging 18 hole golf course, a 9 hole par 3, an 18 hole par 3 and a driving range. In addition to golf, the country club offers many facilities including horse riding, tennis and a swimming pool. Other nearby activities include go-karting and water sports. There is an aquatic park 15 minutes away with water slides, wave machines, outdoor pools, etc. and an amusement park with roller coasters, etc.

The villas are ideally situated for visiting historic southern Andalucía. The ancient towns of Ronda, Granada, Seville and Cadiz are within driving distance. The famous Alhambra Palace is about a 1½ hour drive away, and Gibraltar is a popular day trip.  Marbella and Puerto Banús are about a 30 minute drive away, as is the Marbella Gun and Country Club providing facilities (for non-members) for clay pigeon shooting, archery, quad biking, 4 wheel drive excursions or for enjoying the pool, restaurant and scenery.

The Villa: Las Granadas is a luxury 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa, having ceiling fans in most rooms. It has its own private swimming pool, large terrace and mature gardens. The garden is full of orange, lemon, almond, fig, olive and pomegranate trees, and the views from the house are quite breathtaking across the Valtocado valley to the Mediterranean (10 km) and to the Atlas mountains of Morocco beyond.

The house is on three levels and comprises:

Lower ground floor: double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, bidet), twin bedroom, bunk bed room (sleeps 4), playroom with small snooker table and darts board, bathroom (bath, shower, bidet, toilet), external shower room and toilet. The bedrooms have direct access to the gardens and the swimming pool.

Ground floor: entrance lobby with cloakroom and toilet, very comfortably furnished, split level living room with 2 open fires, Satellite television, DVD player, stereo system, and CD, radio, cassette player. The fully equipped kitchen has dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, electric hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, oven and microwave. Large patio doors along two sides of the ground floor open on to the 150 m² terrace, which has plenty of furniture and a gas BBQ.

First floor: large master double bedroom, dressing room with with fitted wardrobes and plenty of storage space, twin bedroom, bathroom (bath, shower, bidet, toilet).
There is a double garage and large parking area.

Málaga airport is a 25 to 30 minute drive.
