Village house, Alozaina,
Malaga, Costa del Sol. Allegedly the loveliest village in Spain, Alozaina with its winding streets and whitewashed houses, nestles between the Guadahorce Valley and the Sierra de Ronda and is an archaeologists paradise. The origins of the first settlers go back to before the tertiary period and numerous fossil remains have also been found in the area. The village is steeped in history, with caves where remains of the late Paleolithic civilization have been found, one where 2 bronze age golden trumpets were buried, and tombs which have been excavated containing earthenware pots, possibly from Phoenician times. Roman remains have been found and the parish church of Santa Ana was built between 1770 and 1774, although the origin goes back to 1622. The old castle has been re-built and has a magnificent lookout point with panoramic views across the coastal plain around Malaga. The village also has a swimming pool. The
house: enjoys a quiet location in a tiny street in the village. On the
ground floor the kitchen is fully fitted with oven, microwave,
fridge/freezer and a marvelous open fireplace. Next to the kitchen there
is a separate toilet and a washing machine. There is a dining room and a
front lounge with satellite T.V. and music system. |
