Casita Carmelo sits on the edge of the pretty village of Haria in the north of Lanzarote. It is a self contained apartment which is part of a 200 year old finca, and renovated beautifully in the style of the famous Lanzarote artist Cezar Manrique. It has been designed and built with great love for the island, using only natural elements like wood, stones, and natural pigments for the gentle, relaxing colours, which creates an extremely cosy atmosphere. It has an open plan kitchen / sitting room, the kitchen having an electric hob and  fridge, and one bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is a terrace outside, with a sitting area. The owners live in the main house, so are on hand to advise on where to go and what to see, and provide any necessary help.

Haria is a busy working village and only disturbed by tourists by day, when they stop off for lunch or coffee on their trip round the island. There are several bars and restaurants situated in the ancient plaza or square, where on Saturday mornings there is an Artisanian market, and strolling through under the shade of the plane trees is an absolute pleasure. For those who have yet to sample the wonders of Lanzarote, Casita Carmelo is perfectly situated as most of the Cezar Manrique designed attractions are here in the north, nothing is more than a 20 minute drive away. A car is essential, though, but hire is cheap and so is petrol. As Lanzarote is only 28 miles by 11, it's possible to get right around the island in no time, although this isn't advisable as there is so much to see.

Apart from the tourist attractions, there are many sporting activities available like golf, scuba diving, horse riding, wind surfing, go karting and so on. For the less sporty the beaches are excellent. The nearest beach to Casita Carmelo is Arrieta, which has the European blue flag, and is just a five minute drive down the hill. Right on the beach is a bar which serves good tapas and a variety of drinks, all served by friendly waiters, and at reasonable prices.

Car hire can be arranged for guests, and cars can be picked up from the airport on arrival and left there on departure.
