Shared Pool.
Casita la Rosa is a detached cottage set in the grounds of Cortijo el
Rosal near the small town of Orgiva in las Alpujarras, Andalucia. This
spacious and bright cottage has a bedroom with twin beds, bathroom with
basin, mirror, wc and bath with shower over. The comfortable and well
furnished living room looks out over the garden with views of the
mountains, there's a sofa bed, wicker chairs, dining table and chairs, TV
and wood burning fire for cosy winter evenings. The well equipped kitchen
is separated from the dining area by shelves and has a gas cooker,
fridge-freezer, toaster, cupboards, washing machine and granite worktop.
There are two patio areas to the front and back of the cottage with table
and chairs and a barbecue.

The large grounds have plenty of fruit and olive trees and guests
are welcome to pick the fruits when they are in season. The pool, which is
shared with the owners, is 9 x 4 meters and 1.4 meters deep and is
filtered and kept clean by the use of an ionizer so very little chlorine
is used. There's a sun bathing terrace next to the pool.
The small town of Orgiva is a 20 minute walk or a few minutes drive away
and there you will find plenty of shops, banks, cafes, bars, restaurants
and an interesting Thursday morning market where all the locals go. From
Orgiva you can have excursions along the valley or up into the mountains,
or visit the beaches on the Costa Tropical as well as visiting the
Alhambra and Granada. Apart from relaxing by the pool or in the garden if
you feel energetic you could choose to go walking, horse riding in the
high sierras, hang gliding or play golf on the coast. |
Guests are asked to arrive after 3.30pm and to vacate the cottage on
departure day by 11am.
