The apartment, conveniently situated on the ground floor, is accessed through a pretty Andalusian style open-air courtyard and is set within a small 3-storey complex of 24 homes. It is fully air conditioned (both hot and cold). There is no pool but we use the hotel pool 100 metres away, where the poolside bar is open to non-residents. It is just a 2 minute walk to the sandy beach, with restaurants, bars, shops & supermarkets close by. The property is located in La Carihuela, the old fishing village part of Torremolinos, an area famous for its fish and seafood.

Comfortably sleeping 4 persons (with a fold-away bed available for a 5^th), the accommodation benefits from air-conditioning and is only 7 kms from the airport and 13 kms from the city of Malaga.

The accommodation comprises of: Kitchen with fitted units, fridge-freezer, electric cooker/oven, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric kettle, teapot, toaster, coffee-maker, plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils. Electric water heater system in utility area. 2 Bedrooms each with twin beds, large built-in wardrobe, bedside tables, dressing table & mirror.
Living room with television, video player, DVD player (on request), 2 sofas, side table, diffused lighting, electric radiators, extra bed (folds away into unit) patio doors opening onto the terrace which is fully glazed (all windows can open), sun blinds, table with 6 chairs Bathroom with WC, wash basin, bath, shower, bidet.

La Carihuela is at the centre of a long beachside promenade, which stretches from Torremolinos to Benalmadena. The beaches have all the usual facilities, including beach bars,  sun beds, showers. Water sports facilities include boat-hire, ‘banana’ boat, parascending and water skiing. There are numerous bars, hotels and nightspots, some with live music and many restaurants, offering a variety of cuisine. For the energetic, there are discotheques and night clubs. Within the nearby pedestrians-only area, there are many interesting shops, selling clothes, leather, souvenirs etc, as well as the usual bakeries, banks, supermarkets etc. There are good shopping facilities in centre of Torremolinos or visit Malaga for that big shopping trip!

The Costa del Sol offers much to see and do, from water-parks (including Aquapark in Torremolinos), bowling and Tivoli World theme park to local ‘fiestas’ and places of historical interest such as Granada and Sevilla. There are many other local resorts such as Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Puerto Banus and Marbella.

There are flights to Malaga, from most main UK airports. The airport is located West of the city of Malaga and the apartment is some 10 minutes drive from airport.

Taxis are always available from the airport, just through the exit doors after passing through Customs (Aduana).

A number of car hire companies have facilities at the airport. A list is available on request.

The railway station in Torremolinos serves eastwards to Malaga and to Fuengirola, Marbella etc to the west.
