"Casa Jazmin" is a charming, rambling little house in the centre of the lovely Andalucian 'pueblo' of Gaucín, one of the most delightful villages in Spain. Situated across a pretty, flower-filled, cobbled courtyard from the main house (where the English owners live), and sharing the same entrance from the street, it is nevertheless self-contained and quite independent. There are quite a lot of stairs, so it's not really suitable for small children or anyone a bit wobbly on their legs. From the patio, "Casa Jazmin" starts on the first floor (below is a separate annexe which can also be rented) where the main living room / kitchen, a twin bedroom (with it's own balcony overlooking the patio below) and a tiny bathroom are located.

Open stairs lead up from the living room (neatly dividing the living area from the kitchen area) to the double bedroom and two roof terraces, both with wonderful views across the old tiled rooftops of Gaucín to the mountains and the distant Mediterranean. One of the terraces is shaded and has an outdoor table and chairs, the other is sunny and full of flowers. More stairs take you up to a third terrace which is equipped with sun loungers and parasol. There's an outside shower too, which you may appreciate in the middle of summer!
All in all, "Casa Jazmin"is pretty without being pretentious, an excellent choice for all lovers of rural Spain.
The separate, self-contained annexe, which can be rented in addition (but not independently), is on the ground floor and comprises a small double bedroom, sitting room and bathroom.

Gaucín is lovely. Always a long standing favourite of foreigners it has peacefulness and charm and an essentially Andalucian village feel to it. Its situation, surrounded by a vast bowl of mountains, is not only beautiful but also very handy for visiting Ronda, Sevilla or the coast. And it has a public pool too (open in July & August) if that roof-top shower proves to be insufficient!
