The Virreina Palace, a large palace built in the 16th century and now a museum of contemporary art is at the end of the block. The continuation of Calle Carmen, past the Ramblas will take you directly to the cathedral square and the cloisters. This is also a 10 minute walk. The Ramblas is a block down and the Plaza de Catalunya, a central point for the tourist bus and a tourist information centre is also within a 10 minute walk.

The Virreina apartment is located in a newly restored building, a block from the high end of the Ramblas near the Plaza Catalunya and the building is equipped with a large elevator. Virreina Apartment has sound proof glass installed so that even though you are in the middle of the Ramblas area, the inside of the apartment remains relaxing and quiet.

This is a highly recommended and comfortable apartment just off the Ramblas, owned by a sculptor/painter and a physiotherapist. The comments from many former guests reflect the excellent service and goodwill on their part to do what’s necessary to make sure the guests stay is the most comfortable possible and this tastefully furnished and comfortable apartment is highlighted by original artworks by the owner.
