Casa Levana is set in a small, picturesque and charming Spanish village and is a great base for exploring Andalucia and the surrounding area. The village, Los Perenos, is a tiny, charming hamlet consisting of just a few houses set in a circle and surrounded by olive groves. There is a small, pretty park for children to play and a church. It is an ideal rural idyll from which to travel to many of the most beautiful areas of Southern Spain: the fabulous, historic cities of Cordoba, Seville and Granada are all within easy driving distance. The area is also perfect for walking, cycling, bird watching, horse riding and painting. However, the town of La Roda de Andalucia is a short, easy drive through the olive groves. La Roda has numerous restaurants, bars, banks, a pharmacy and generally everything you might need.
Casa Levana is a large, traditional Spanish country house sympathetically restored with its wood beamed ceilings and white washed walls but enhanced by modern comfort and facilities. There is a fully equipped kitchen, utility area, large bathroom, living room and dining room downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two of which are double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning and a twin-bedded room with a ceiling fan. There are also three totally secluded patio areas. The first is a charming courtyard with flowering shrubs and a lemon tree which provides an abundance of lemons throughout the year for that all important gin & tonic!
Beyond the courtyard there is the
main large patio area with built-in table and seating for up to
eight. This is the perfect spot for dining in the fresh air, looking
out over the patio and listen to birds singing in the trees. The
last patio has a large stone barbeque with plenty of seating
options. |
