1,000 berth marina & 27 hole golf course. It boasts large upper/lower
terracing affording spectacular views, marble flooring & has been stylishly
designed & furnished to a very high standard with no expense spared. The
property is fully air-conditioned, modern and has everything needed for a
perfect self-catering holiday.
Almerimar is one of Spain's best kept secrets, outstandingly beautiful &
enjoys a sub-tropical climate with an average of 320 days of sunshine a
year. The Resort is built around the Harbour that hosts many Sea-food
restaurants, Chinese, Italian & good Spanish cuisine. Cafe bars & Tapas bars
all situated in lovely surroundings overlooking the harbour. The resort is
peaceful & relaxing and immaculately kept. Golf is a big attraction to the
area and Porto Fino Complex is situated a stone throw away from the 27 hole
course on a surface of approx 802,000 square metres, featuring several water
holes & beautiful landscape & lakes that will challenge any experienced
golfer.
Penthouse Apartment: The double bedroom has twin beds with ample storage provided from the fully
fitted wardrobes. There is a hairdryer & safe. There are patio doors leading
onto the lower terracing, affording spectacular views overlooking the golf
course & mountain dropback of the Sierra Nevada. The bathroom is light and
modern and consists of bath/shower, bidet, basin. There is also an
illuminated mirror and shaving point for your convenience.
The kitchen area is modern & has quality fixtures and fittings. A large
fridge/freezer, full size oven. microwave, toaster & kettle. It also a large
selection of quality utensils. There is a washing machine with drying
facilities available. The living area is spacious and has been tastefully
furnished to a very high standard. There is a corner suite that converts
into a double bed, a top quality 37" TV, DVD, SKY, and also a top quality
sound system including I-Pod dock. All rooms are spacious and have quality
marble flooring and air-conditioning.
The apartment is wheelchair accessible. There are numerous lifts that can be
accessed via the underground parking area or through the main entrance to
the apartment block. The resort itself is also very flat and immaculately
kept making it suitable for anyone with mobility problems. There are no high
rise buildings at all in the resort.
The terraces are large and furnished to a very high standard, having quality
Alexander Rose rattan furniture. The upper terrace has a large cube dining
table and four easy chairs with complimenting stools, and a built in BBQ and
fantastic views of the whole resort to make dining al-fresco that bit more
special. The bottom terrace also has quality dining furniture and is partly
covered to allow for late evening dining/sitting out.
The complex has a large secure gated pool for guests to use. The apartment
is only metres away from Blue Flag beaches that are well cared for and
stretch for miles. There are ample fresh water showers and toilets and
numerous beach bars. The beach also offers many sports including
windsurfing, kite surfing, hang-gliding, volleyball etc.
The resort is flanked by two Blue Flag beaches that stretch East and West of
the resort. They are within minutes walking distance from Porto Fino
Complex.
Golf is a big attraction to the area and Almerimar Golf offers 27 holes of
challenging golf. The mature championship golf course is surrounded by
beautiful landscaped gardens with several holes featuring water, the most
challenging being two island green holes on the 14th and 18th, giving a tee
shot over 100 metres of water. It offers plenty of challenges for the more
experienced golfer and will test your golfing skills to the full. There is
also a 9 hole Course, practice course and equipment hire.
The nearest airport is Almeria, 25 miles away, It's a 30 minute drive.
Airport pick-ups can be arranged or there are many car hire companies based
in Almeria airport that offer cheap car-hire.
Malaga airport is also another option. The journey to Almerimar takes you
along a scenic coastal road along a Mediterranean sea. Approx 2 hours drive.
Regular flights by Monarch, BMI Baby, EasyJet, Ryanair ThomasCook all fly
into Almeria Airport from most Regional Airports throghout the UK.
Places of interest nearby include the neighbouring resort of Roquetas de
Mar, it is the largest holiday resort in the province and stretches for
miles along the coast. Mojacar resort is also well worth a visit, it
consists of the old Mojacar Pueblo that is steeped in history and Mojacar
Playa that offers miles of beautiful coastal scenery with many beach bars,
restaurants and holiday activities. Mini Hollywood is the longest
established Theme Park. It is the setting of many Spaghetti Westerns.
Mario WaterPark also provides a great day of entertainment for the children.
It is a 20 minute drive away. Just up the road out of Almerimar there is a
large Go karting track, it is one of the best equipped state of the art
technology Kart racing circuits in Europe.
Cabo de Gata Parque natural covers 38,000 hectares of land and 12,000
hectares of sea making it the most important protected area in Southern
Spain.
Just a 2 hour drive away is the great sky station Ski Village resort towards
Granada in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The journey up to the top of
the resort on top class mountain motorway provide breathtaking scenery.
Snowboarding and skiing at all levels can be accessed. Hire of equipment is
available at very reasonable costs.
